Regional fire brigade corps reinvents itself
Energizing program for a regional fire brigade corps with 1.100 volunteers , more than 300 professionals and a budget of about 26 million euros. Because of the preceding merger of 23 corpses to one organization, the organization had to reinvent itself. Employees were searching for their roles, positions and authorities. Not everyone was in the right place. A lot had to be developed with regard to content, process and interrelationships. After the program the mutual cooperation has been improved, especially between the executives and management sections. Employees on the reorganization list got a more appropriate place inside or outside the organization. The expenses didn’t exceed the budget. Most striking was that the financial plan came about in a good atmosphere and was accepted in the board with a majority of votes. At two earlier attempts the emotions started running so high that the attempts ended prematurely.
